A single-mode ST/UPC connector for 0.9 mm tight-buffer fibre. Its bayonet (stick-and-twist) coupling and 2.5 mm ceramic ferrule make terminations quick and stable, with low insertion loss and high return loss at 1310/1550 nm. Common in CATV, LAN/WAN, PON and FTTH patching.
